Climb25 is coming to Middlesbrough on the 1st of May, and we’re excited that Flok will be hosting one of the official regional launch events.

If you’ve never come across it before, Climb25 is a UK-wide festival that brings entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders together to spark new ideas and connect people who are eager to make things happen.

Having Middlesbrough chosen as a host location says a lot about the growing energy in this part of the country. Middlesbrough has cemented itself as the leading tech hub outside of London, according to the latest UK Tech Jobs Report, and events like Climb25 only reinforce that hard-earned reputation. It’s a great opportunity to explore what’s out there, meet fellow innovators, and see why so many exciting projects have been taking off here.

The evening’s line-up features two panel discussions: “Tech Trends and Product Evolution,” where experts like Mark Easby (Better) and Danielle Croce (Intasite) will share their insights on emerging technologies and how businesses can stay ahead of the curve. The second panel, “Innovation in the Heart of the Tees Valley – Local Start-ups Shaping the Future,” will feature Oz Harbottle (Svalinn Protection), Guy Brown (Salvify), and Victoria Burnip (Cognitive HealthTech). Whether you’re a budding founder, a curious observer, or an industry pro, it’s a great way to hear real-world stories and advice from people who’ve been there and done it.

If you’re keen to get a feel for what’s going on in the startup world, this event offers a relaxed environment to chat with potential collaborators, compare notes with other entrepreneurs, or just soak up some inspiration. The energy at Climb is always infectious, and we can’t wait to see which new ideas and partnerships emerge by the end of the night.

Doors at Flok open at 4pm, with sessions running into the evening. Standard tickets are £20, which includes a £30 discount on the main Climb25 festival in July. We’ve also acquired a limited number of free tickets for our network on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’d like one of those, drop us a message or use the code CLIMB-ALT25 at checkout to get 100% off (whilst supplies last!). Keep an eye on our social media pages for updates.

We can’t wait to see what Middlesbrough brings to the table this year, and we hope you’ll be there to help us make it happen. Grab your ticket, bring your questions, and get ready to discover the next big ideas sparking in the Tees Valley.
